survivors, on anger, growth and change
by Lucky Calamity inif you have any thoughts on that topic, or quotes, coping strategies, etc., please share.. i liked this, reading in aarp rag, this a.m., the stories of people who lost a lot and were fortunate and resourceful enough to begin the process of moving on, and taking control of their lives in the wake of enormous betrayal and financial disaster, (partly due to their own gullibility, and largely due to someone else's enormous capacity to take advantage of it.
sound familiar?).
in posting this, i am not suggesting that everyone can or will be able to recover as these folks have, but merely to suggest that their insights are encouraging and that having positive support, in the face of crises of any sort is extremely important to recovery - from anything.. anyway, here are some quotes:.

Yay! Good News After Worrying A Lot . . .
by Lucky Calamity inwell after waiting months to hear about an important scholarship application that i was turned down for, i got good news about another smaller scholarship that only took a few weeks to process and i got it .
which is great news, since i've been worried about not having health insurance once i start school full-time in the fall.. i've been really, really worried that i might lose my health insurance due to working only part-time when school starts, but with this additional scholarship, i may be able to free up some other financial aid and may be able to port my current inusrance, (or buy insurance thru the school at student rates).. it is such a relief to have gotten it .
hope your dreams are coming true, too!.

Off For A Self-Guided Walking Tour Of UNC! NCAA Champs Again!
by Lucky Calamity indon't really care too much about the basketball thing .
just thought i'd throw in something about physical activities more invigorating than my walk.. unc is such a big place, it seems to me; so dense and a bit crowded, but lovely!
just gorgeous.. hope i have time to check out the botanical gardens; it's already hot here, for april!
